Namaste

The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another. "Nama" means bow, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you." A system of exercises for attaining bodily or mental control and well-being

Fill the lungs with a deep inhale, bringing in energy, vitality and prana, the life force.....

... Go to the post office, pick up prescriptions at the drugstore...

As you exhale, feel the body releasing toxins, stress and any negativity that has accumulated, as it drains down into the ground.....

... needs her teeth cleaned.  I should call the dentist...

Stay with this breath, focusing on the feeling of deep peace for ten deep inhalations and exhalations....

... bake a birthday cake - maybe buy donuts for his class...

Feel the subtle vibration of energy that runs through the body....

... how my dad's eyes are doing...

Become aware of the warmth and tingling of every cell.....

... pay the cell phone bill...

Feel the energy that is in the extended environment, out to infinity, in the entire cosmos, in every part of nature and in every living thing.....

... Does the cat have food?  She'll throw up if I don't give her the expensive kind...

Bring all those energies together and feel them as one.....

... soccer game at 6:00...

Visualize all of that energy shining as brightly as a thousand suns.....

...spray the counter with 409 and start the dishwasher...

Bring the shining glow of bright energy over the crown of the head.....

... Japan and the tsunami...

Feel it starting to funnel down into your body from the top of your head, slowly going down into your face and neck, traveling down into the shoulders, down the arms, all the way down to the fingers.....

... rows of peas, beans, tomatoes...

Feel the healing energy and light going down into your chest and let that healing light fill your heart. Allow your heart to feel the magnificent healing, warmth and unconditional love....

... herb garden?...

Stay with this feeling of warmth and love for five deep slow breaths.....

... if Jene had her baby, yet...

Feel the healing light go down into your hips.....

...write a thank you note to Kari...

Feel it continue traveling down your legs all the way down to your toes.....

... needs to practice piano before Tuesday...

Your whole body is now filled with Divine Healing Light and Energy.....

... spaghetti sauce on sale at Smith's...

Allow that Healing Energy to completely fill all physical areas that need healing energy.....

... Ew!  A spider!...

Feel it warming, healing and expanding through the areas......

...Call pest control...

Now bring your awareness to any emotional difficulties and allow the Divine Healing Light to bring peace and healing to any emotional issues or traumas.....

... so glad our taxes are done...

Bring your awareness to any intentions or desires that you may have.....

... only have 45 minutes before I have to leave if I want to be on time...

Hold the thoughts of those intentions or desires as you allow the Healing Energy to bring your deepest desires to life and your intentions into reality....

... wish that cat would shut up...

Feel your connection to Divine Energy and Light, and know that all is ONE.....

... who could be calling at this hour?

Stay with this deep, relaxing, peaceful feeling of bliss.

Namaste.

I'm with you. Meditation and deep breathing was hard enough in my 20's but now as a working mum of three kids my head is so full of household tasks that there's no time to reflect on world peace while deep breathing in pose of the crane. The nearest I get to spiritual enlightenment is pouring a glass of wine after the kids have gone to bed and watching Bear Grylls get his kit off and run around in the snow...

So funny! I happen to do yoga the same way. although I do have one instructor who is good at keeping me on task and quiet in my mind.

Ha ha, this is great! Exactly what would happen to me, so I don't even bother... :) When I try yoga for relaxation {which my sister is great at and she looks amazing but she doesn't have any kids}, my kiddos just climb all over me and ask questions so it's never relaxing or toning in any way. Oh well.
